Packing: Phase I

Exhibit A: First dump of potential stuff to take (minus jewelry, toiletries, electronics, books)

Exhibit B: Luggage

23 kgs check in and 7kg carry on...

This is where I freak out by how much stuff I've thrown on the bed. It was so much easier packing for a year in Bangers as I knew I'd be wearing the local garb and didn't need to take too many western clothes. But Lebanon is a fashionable place, hence the handbags, and the shoes (do I really need that many pairs of shoes??? The answer is no, but I don't want to hear that!) and the stress...

  1. One pair of thongs, one pair of sneakers and two pairs of fashionable shoes.

  2. I'm Australian - I've got casual thongs and formal thongs, therefore I can't only take one pair!!

I haven't worn anything but thongs and sneakers during my last deployment, I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to wearing heels sometimes...so I have to take a couple of pairs right?
